What Is The SAP Evaluation Process?
1. You will meet with a qualified SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) who will ask questions about your violation, drug and alcohol use history, employment history, abuse history, family background, and any other relevant information. This evaluation is used to determine the appropriate level of care for your SAP Program.
2. Based on your specific needs, recommendations for education and/or treatment will be provided. We will refer you to an education or treatment provider.
3. After completing the recommended education or treatment, you will return to us for a follow-up evaluation with the SAP Evaluator.
4. Once treatment is complete, you will take a return-to-duty test.
5. The SAP Evaluator will send your evaluation results to your employer or third-party consortium. If you pass the return-to-duty test, your employer or third-party consortium will report this information, and you will be eligible to resume safety-sensitive duties.
